November Chaos
What happens with the JUXTAPOSITION of Chaos and Order?
…More than an intersection…
Chaos (EMSculpt®) and
Order (Homeopathy)
Strong vibration juxtaposed with subtle vibration
“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest,
heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from the heavens to the soul.”
Unanimity = Harmony
Order | Disorder | Reorder
The Scar
Since a hot laser cannot be used through clothing, a pelvic treatment involved removing my pants.
My Osteopath immediately remarked: “Oh my gosh. I forgot about your hip graft! This explains what happened with EMSculpt® !!
Scar adhesions were altered!”
And thus the full-range-of-motion
I had experienced from the first
EmSculpt® buttocks treatment
was clarified.
This is / was astounding after 50 years! The spinal fusion/hip graft was performed in 1976. Previous scar treatment with acupuncture, percussion hammer, neural therapy, prolotherapy, and manipulation did not produce results comparable to one EMSculpt® treatment.
My back has found it necessary
to ‘regroup’….after 50 years.
And the impact on the nerve in my throat has been extreme as well,
but with aggravation of symptoms
that continue two months later.
The motion of the spine had been enhanced rapidly – and the skull base is slowly catching up to this dramatic shift in structure and function below.
Family Evolution
Is Chaos opening the door for Transformation?
More clarity is evolving. Doctors are receiving an education from my case –
from the potential of EMSculpt to the interconnection of the body.
The Orofacial Pelvic Connection, so aptly illustrated by Tasha Turzo, DO,
is personified in my long case history.
A November family surprise falls into this Time of Change as well!
Homeopathy and Cranial Osteopathy
Two weeks ago today (November 4), I was leaving for Santa Cruz. And two weeks from today I will be returning (December 9).
I wasn’t sure that I would be able to go on my October trip. Waking up in the morning into extremely sharp pain made me want to NOT get on the plane; however, as I moved around the house and ate, I ended up getting in the car and driving to the airport. My symptoms were extreme and could flare without warning.
On a November Saturday before my Tuesday Santa Cruz departure, I had decided that I would not go; furthermore, the airlines were cancelling flights left and right. However, my Jin Shin practitioner Alice unintentionally changed my mind.
One of the main reasons for going was to take the constitutional homeopathic remedy prescribed by the ‘guru’ of homeopathy in the United States, Roger Morrison, MD. I had attended a two-hour zoom session with him and my Santa Cruz osteopath the Monday before. The remedy arrived on Saturday, the very day I was thinking of not going!
Alice was very familiar with homeopathy as well as Roger Morrison and was interested in hearing about my zoom appointment with him. It was in this discussion that I realized how much I needed to go and have input from Santa Cruz. I also wanted my Phoenix osteopath to test this before I took it. I had an appointment with him in two days – the day before I was scheduled to fly out which was perfect timing. These two confirmations were most necessary for me.
I don’t like to be treated the day before I leave; however, i was feeling so poorly on Monday, that I had a treatment. Within 24 hours I would be lying on a Santa Cruz osteopathic table for another treatment!
The two doctors are both board-certified cranial osteopaths; and their approach is as different as night and day – very complimentary and confirming as I was to discover within the next 24 hours.
Three homeopaths on the same page were confirmed. I took the 1M dosage of Chinium Sulphuricum on the day I arrived at my first appointment in Santa Cruz.
My Phoenix osteopath looks like he is doing nothing but placing his hands on your body. His touch is extremely light. And on this day, the minute he lightly touched my right shoulder, I felt like he had reached inside my mouth and was grabbing onto this ‘throat’ sharpness with his fingers! And within seconds, I am feeling this shoot down into my left psoas. I sputtered, “Can you feel that down into my groin? This is my guy-wire!” This was a stupid question – I knew the answer. Yes, of course he’s aware of what he is palpating. After forty+ years, he never ceases to amaze me.
I laid down on the table in Santa Cruz. And where did this osteopath start her treatment? On the left psoas. She has a “heavy-handed approach’ (her words). You can definitely tell she’s engaging with your body! I was shocked by all she started doing with my left pelvic region at this initial Tuesday appointment and even more on Thursday.
Later, I surmised that Phoenix had energetically flung open the door and she walked in and did the gross work.
I stayed an extra night due to the airline unpredictability: I was afraid to risk taking the last flight of the day out of San Jose at 8:55pm. I was leaving at 6:30 am the next morning and had gladly used my Marriott Bonvoy points to stay five minutes from the airport – no more driving around an unfamiliar city late at night trying to find a place to sleep! Santa Monica and Burbank at the end of September was one time too many!
I thus had plenty of time to drop by the dental office as I approached San Jose enroute to the airport. The dentist was amazed at my ability to lay down on his floor, walk around the parking lot and then sit and knit – and NOT have to fine-tune the appliance that he had adjusted before I engaged in all of this ‘positional’ activity after a Turzo treatment. This was NOT my norm – usually fine-tuning after positional change was the routine. I had talked him into making another appliance on Wednesday. The one I currently wear has several little holes in it – nice and thin from grinding and adjustment.
In retrospect, this was ‘gazing into a crystal ball’.
My referral to a Mayo Clinic ENT was over three months ago. At long last, I reached someone who gave me correct information! They had the wrong phone number and had been trying
to reach me.
Furthermore, the referral had been for a glossopharyngeal nerve issue and the ENT department at Mayo Clinic will not see a patient with this diagnosis!
I was shocked.
My ENT at AOC Physicians had dismissed me when the neuroradiologist stated I needed to have MR Neurography. Since I had not received acceptance to Mayo, my previous ENT suggested another colleague at AOC. I made an appointment.
I was very surprised and distressed when they called the other day and told me that this ENT would not take me as a patient.
My PCP and previous ENT wer equally surprised at this response. They hoped to discover the reason behind this dismissal.
My anatomical knowledge makes me question this since the tonsillar branch of the glossopharyngeal nerve is located between the middle and superior constrictor muscle – which is where the tonsil is located and definitely in the area of their specialization. They are not being asked to ‘treat’ the condition – if it even exists.
In this day and age, it is becoming increasingly difficult to make an appointment when the front desk asks, “What’s your diagnosis?” Isn’t this why you go to a doctor – for a diagnosis? My diagnosis is ‘unknown’. My ‘unknown’ is in the throat…the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor domain!
The Split Splint
Rushing outside to catch the roofers with their samples, I dropped my appliance that I had removed from my mouth. And I stepped on it! Crack…
This was not in my daily “To Do” list. A frantic call to my San Jose dentist confirmed there was nothing to be done…other than replace. My next trip is December 7. In retrospect, the fact that I had a new one made at my November appointment seemed providential – or coincidental?
The height of a new appliance vs. one that has been adjusted multiple times is significant. And I have realized that I can ‘manipulate’ my throat tissue with the different heights of these devices.
