April Aspirations
Circles and Spirals Revisted
Within two months – in March and again in April –
Life presented two Paths:
1- One was circular, reinforcing a chiastic storyline….. an unfolding
of a symmetrical mirrored plot in my Life.
2 – The other was a spiral, traveling into The Beyond.
The Circle
Another circular event appeared on April 28.
2011 – 2026
….and I end up where I started
yet again!
The Neurosurgeon
Neuroradiologist Circle
I had waited three months for my ENT appointment at
Barrows Neurological Institute.
I waited, however, seven months for the MR Neurography report
from The Neurological Injury Specialists in California!
I was sitting in my Osteopath’s office when I received an email from the Neurological Injury Specialists – with a DIAGNOSIS!
Glossopharyngeal neuroma
on the nerve branch in the throat.
With a little research, I discovered that a glossopharyngeal neuroma
is very rare – 100 reported cases
…and in the oropharynx, even more rare.
On April 28, 2026 I had a phone consultation with this renown doctor regarding the MR scan done on September 29, 2025, the same neurosurgeon – neuroradiologist who did my MR Neurography in 2011. However, this time the diagnosis was spot on…
in the throat, not the palate. He did inform me the radiology
was far more sophisticated now than in 2011.
Furthermore, the WHERE was more specific. He placed a marker
on my jaw and I placed finger in mouth during part of the scan!
NOW – what to do?
His recommendation, like I thought, would be an MRI guided injection with Hylenex. Since there were three areas of concern, he would use an anesthetic injection to see if he could numb the pain in a specific area and be even more targeted.

I had done my research.
His office had informed me of the product he used
for his MRI guided injections of cranial nerves.
Therefore, I was “Hylenex” prepared.
And, had discovered the following information
in a very recent article dated April 21, 2026:
“Hyaluronidase“
“Severe adverse reactions include hypersensitivity reactions,
anaphylaxis, hyperviscosity, and thromboembolism.
Recombinant human hyaluronidase carries a boxed warning for thrombosis.
Risk factors for precipitating thrombosis include hypercoagulable conditions, prolonged immobilization, advanced age,
and cardiovascular disease.”
And I have FOUR hypercoagulable conditions!
I was surprised he was not privy to this information;
however, my hematologist pointed out that this information was very new and not to be upset.
Nevertheless, it makes me scared to have this procedure done,
especially so close to my brain.
NOW – What to do?
I emailed his office and asked if he would consider a Peptide injection. i have not received a reply –
It’s been three weeks since I asked this question.

I returned to the Tuning Forks in early April.
And this second session treatment was VERY different than my initial appoitment.
This time she literally put the tuning forks (144hz) on the front of my upper neck and the subtle vibration
ascended into this throat area. When she changed to the Schwann frequency tuning forks, I went to sleep.
Again, I had NO clue as to what was happening with the pitch.
Did this help my alternating fluid and pain symptoms?
No, but definitely something was ‘positive’.
I was unable to verbalize, but I knew that I would return.

The Beyond in an attempt to relieve the pain that FINALLY, after 30 years, has a name…
glossopharyngeal neuroma on this nerve branch in the oropharynx.
After returning from the MR Neurography scan in September (2025), my PT showed me
an anatomy picture of Cranial Nerve 9 – the glossopharyngeal [GN] nerve.
Discovering there was a Pharyngeal, Tonsillar, Lingual branch of this cranial nerve,
I surmised the branch of this nerve as ‘the problem’ in October, 2025.
A glossopharyngeal neuroma is an extremely rare phenomenon,
even more so in the oropharynx.
And my history – an intubation injury (1972), a left-sided palatal drop
during an orthodontic procedure (1996), and the subsequent surgical discovery
of bone necrosis during the surgical resection of the hamular process
…the bone that dropped into the palate (1998)
– is also an unusual medical history. And the surgery did not ameliorate the symptoms.
It has taken 30 years since the orthodontic injury to put the puzzle pieces into place.
The current symptoms began within 30 minutes of this oral trauma.
